About Us

FC Barsa were formed in 2006 by Kevin Barr and originally the team was named bars-a-loner but changed to FC Barsa. The team competes in home town Leeds, in the Leeds striker futsal league, at South Leeds stadium. The team won this league in its first season and won a regional play-off to qualify for the national championships in Sheffield. After performing well at the nationals they were invited to join the futsal premier league based at the Hull gemtec arena. Entering a season earlier than originally expected the team gained valuable experience at a high level of futsal. The team were also runners-up in the leeds champions cup, where they competed with other league winners from south leeds stadiums 5-aside leagues. Since the nationals the team has joined the Wigton Moor Sports Association and have become one of the few, if not the only current charter standard futsal clubs. The team aspire to retaining the Leeds league title, and achieving glory at the nationals.
